Back a Scrumptious Egg and Ham Cobbler



Perfect for Sunday brunch of any day you want to add a little something special to the breakfast table, this egg and ham cobbler is easy to make and oh so impressive. This recipe is so good you might want to have it for lunch or dinner too!

Ingredients needed:

2 loaves bread
4 eggs, scrambled
3 tomatoes, sliced
Ham slices
150g cheese, shredded
100g butter
150g milk
Salt and pepper to taste

With these simple ingredients and not much effort on your part, you can turn a boring breakfast into something truly magnificent.
Begin by buttering a circular baking pan. Next, spread a thin layer of butter on each slice of bread. Arrange the bread as you see in the pictures: standing up and circling the entire pan. Wash and slice the tomatoes thinly and slide a piece next to each bread slice. Add a slice of ham next to the tomato.

Beat the eggs together with milk and add enough salt and pepper for your particular tastes. Pour this mixture carefully over the arranged bread, tomato and ham slices in the pan. Add the grated cheese to the top as desired. Bake the ham and egg cobbler in a 180 degree oven until the eggs are solid and the bread becomes crisp and golden brown on top. Serve hot.


  1. My Mom made this for us as kids. I still make it but in smaller form. Always love it and still do. I make it up at night put it in the frig overnight and bake it up in the morning.
