Pizza is no doubt delicious, but the same flat pizza all the time can get boring. Why not try something different for lunch, dinner or to bring along to a party? This Pizza Corona, or Crown Pizza will delight your guests and family when you place it piping hot on the table.
500 grams flour
1 pack dry yeast
1 tsp honey
100 ml milk
200 ml water
200 grams mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ tsp salt
1 tbps olive oil
Dump the packet of yeast into ½ cup water. Add the flour and the 1 tsp of honey and mix it around till it forms a ball. Set this aside in a bowl to rise for 30 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients other than the sauce, oil and cheese and mix it together for several minutes until it is a smooth dough. Put it in a bowl with a towel over it so it can rise for 2 hours.
Stretch the risen dough out on a floured work surface. Roll it into a circular shape and mark the middle without poking a hole all the way through the dough. Follow the directions in the pictures above to spread the tomato sauce and sprinkle the cheese on. Use a sharp knife to cut wedges in the center of the dough. As you see in the pictures above, take each wedge-shaped strip of dough and bring it over the sauce and cheese to the outer edge. Do this for each wedge you cut until the pizza crown shape is formed.
Bake in a 200 degree oven for about 20 minutes until the dough is completely cooked and a pleasant golden brown. Serve while hot for the best taste.
