Collect all of the small pieces (except for those that fell on the floor) into the compact case from the eye shadow and use the handle end of your brush or a spatula to crush everything back into a powder, making sure not to leave any chunks. Add a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the powder.
Next, we’ll need to find an appropriate object that fits the shape of the case in order to compact down the powder/eye shadow. For eye shadow, a coin will do the trick. For powders, it’s a little bit harder to find the right fit, but often times something like a glass or cup will work. Place a folded napkin directly on top of this “gruel” of powder/eye shadow and put your coin or other pressing tool on top of it. Press firmly.
This way, most of the liquid will be absorbed into the napkin and the powder/eye shadow will be smoothed over. Leave the case overnight in a warm place to allow the excess alcohol to evaporate. In the morning, take off the press tool/napkin and the leave the case open to air dry.
